Lavender: Lavender is an all around great oil. It’s really a classic and during pregnancy is not exception! It has great benefits like easing leg cramps at night, soothing, promoting sleep, and reducing swelling and itching.
How to Use: Lemon Drop Sister’s version of Beautiful Belly Serum
1 t. Rose hip oil
4 T. Sweet almond oil
2 t. Vitamin E oil
4 drops Lavender essential oil
2 drops Lemon essential oil
2 drops Frankincense essential oil
2 drops Gentle Baby essential oil (Young Living blend)
Mix all the ingredients together and store in a dark/opaque glass bottle. (a spray top works well).
Peppermint: This one is always a staple! From giving energy, to easing headaches & nausea this one is a must have!
How to Use: For heartburn add two drops to a 16oz of water. Or, mix one drop Lemon essential oil and one drop Peppermint essential oil with carrier oil and rub onto chest.
Please remember that Peppermint is not a good one to use while breastfeeding as it reduces your supply significantly. (But their are some great oils for increasing your supply! Basil is the best one and has a great smell! Fennel is another one to great one but should not be used for more then 10 days in a row before taking a break for a couple days. You can resume use if you still need to after a short break.)
Peace and Calming (Young Living blend): This one is great for stress, relaxation or just easing insomnia.
How to Use: Apply 1-3 drops onto feet before sleeping.
En-R-Gee (Young Living blend): As you can tell from the name, this one is great for when you need that extra boost of energy. It’s a blend of Rosemary, Juniper, Nutmeg, Balsam Fir, Clove, and Pepper! I, personally LOVE the smell!
How to Use: Simply mix with a carrier oil and apply a few drops to feet in the morning (or any time of day)!
